Directions to Bellebeck
On reaching Staithes from the north on the A171 turn left onto Staithes Lane (signposted Staithes) off the main Whitby road
After a few hundred yards reach the Captain Cook Inn. Turn right here for the public car park (if you are not familiar with Staithes or Bellebeck you might want to park here and walk down to the cottage)
To reach the cottage carry on straight ahead at the Captain Cook Inn, passing relatively modern houses to reach the very steep descent of the Bank. At the bottom of the steep section pass a white house on the left and then a terrace of 6 houses also on the left. After the sixth house (and opposite the Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Centre and the Pink Fusion shop) turn very sharp left down a steep and narrow lane. Fifty yards down the lane turn left uphill on a very narrow lane to pull up outside Bellebeck which is part of the large converted stone chapel. (You may find it better to reverse up this last small lane). This is a no-through road and you can park there whilst unloading. Your car will then need to be taken back up the Bank to the public car park
